The New York Jets have a new quarterback in the organization.
After trading former top draft pick Zach Wilson earlier this week, the Jets selected QB Jordan Travis with their fifth-round pick (171st overall).
Travis native had a breakout 2023 season at Florida State, leading the Seminoles to an undefeated regular season. He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting after suffering a season-ending ankle injury in November but was named the ACC Player of the Year.
The Florida native is the highest QB selection by the Jets since the team took Wilson second overall in 2021. Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.
Travis was the second quarterback to come off the board on Day 3 of the draft. Former South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler was also drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round.

The 23-year-old Travis will likely move behind starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and veteran backup Tyrod Taylor on the Jets' QB depth chart.
